BEFORE INSTALLATION
[ ] Identify my device, OS version and architecture.
[ ] Check the provider's current system requirements.
[ ] Confirm which account holds my subscription, if already purchased.
[ ] Finish the Wi-Fi sign-in and check ordinary internet access.
[ ] Get the installer/store listing from the official provider page.

INSTALL AND CONNECT
[ ] Install the correct app and review optional extras.
[ ] Log in to the existing Nord Account; allow the return to the app.
[ ] Approve the VPN configuration requested by the official app.
[ ] Connect and confirm an active server connection.
[ ] Record the app version, selected protocol and non-secret settings.

VERIFY
[ ] Compare public IP before/after privately.
[ ] Check DNS and any routing exclusions.
[ ] Test sleep/wake and, where relevant, Wi-Fi/cellular transitions.
[ ] Review automatic connection and kill-switch behavior.
[ ] Check my usual apps, websites and required local devices.
