INTERSTORE CAPITAL s.r.o. is the controller for personal information it processes in operating HostingRanker and responding to enquiries.

Browsing and technical records

Our hosting infrastructure may process technical request information such as IP address, requested URL, time, browser information and error details to deliver the site, diagnose problems and protect it from abuse. The relevant basis is our legitimate interest in operating and securing the website. Hosting and technical service providers may process this information on our behalf.

Technical records are retained only as needed for those operational and security purposes, subject to the hosting configuration and any need to investigate an incident or comply with a legal obligation. Contact us for details about a particular record or request.

Search, selector and calculator

The site’s search uses a locally downloaded public index. Search terms, selector answers and calculator amounts are processed in your browser. We do not send these inputs as custom Google Analytics events. Page visits and interactions may still be measured by Google Analytics as described below. Reloading the page resets the working inputs, except for supported options included in the page URL.

The tools do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. The selector provides informational suggestions based on the options you choose.

Google Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand visits to HostingRanker and how visitors use its pages. The Google tag loads a script from Google and can send information about page visits and interactions to Google Analytics. The exact events collected depend on the measurement settings.

Google Analytics uses first-party cookies, including _ga and a property-specific _ga_ cookie, to distinguish visitors and sessions. Cookie lifetimes depend on the Analytics settings and browser restrictions. Google explains these cookies in its Analytics cookie documentation and describes its use of data in the Google Privacy Policy.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. The selector and calculators themselves do not use persistent browser storage. The website does not embed social widgets or affiliate tracking pixels. Hosting and security infrastructure may also use technical mechanisms needed to deliver or protect the site.

Email correspondence

If you email us, we receive the address and information you provide. We use it to respond, investigate corrections and maintain the relevant correspondence. Depending on the enquiry, processing is based on our legitimate interest in handling communications or steps requested before a contract. Please avoid sending passwords, payment-card details or unrelated sensitive information.

Correspondence is kept for as long as needed to resolve the matter and maintain an appropriate record, or longer where a legal obligation or legal claim requires it. Our email service providers may process the messages on our behalf.

Affiliate links and external websites

When you follow an external link, the destination receives the technical information needed for that connection. Affiliate networks and providers may use their own attribution technologies and process purchase information under their notices. We may receive commission and attribution reports, but we do not collect your payment details or manage the provider account.

Some destinations or their service providers may process information outside the European Economic Area. Their applicable notices explain their processing and transfer arrangements. Where we use processors for our own operations, applicable data-protection requirements govern those relationships.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of personal data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it. Rights can have conditions and exceptions.
