The service’s current page lists seven simultaneous connections. That may cover one person’s devices comfortably but can become a constraint in a larger household. Write down which devices need to be connected at the same time and whether a native app exists for each.

A service that is simple to connect should still make disconnection behavior understandable. If you cannot tell what happens when the tunnel drops or the app closes, check the documentation before relying on it for normal browsing.

Seven devices and the platform checklist

The official product page describes up to seven simultaneous devices and lists major desktop and mobile platforms. It also lists WireGuard, OpenVPN and IKEv2, with the actual choice depending on the app.

Keep the account’s device-management rules in mind when reinstalling apps or replacing hardware. Confirm the current procedure for removing an old device if you encounter an allowance problem.

A router installation can cover equipment without a native app, but the router must support the configuration. It can also affect local services and every user on that route. Plan a way to disable or recover the configuration without losing administrative access.

Streaming labels are not a promise

A server described for a particular task may be a useful place to start testing. It is not proof that every account, region or device will receive the same result. Streaming services can change their network detection, licensing and terms, so access can vary over time.

Compare the total charged, the length of the initial term and the next renewal amount. Promotional extra months can make a monthly equivalent look lower even when the renewal covers a different number of months. Record both periods explicitly.

A refund guarantee requires payment first and a valid request under the terms. Confirm who handles the refund if you purchase through an app store or another channel. Cancellation of future billing and a refund of a current purchase can be different actions.

Set aside time to evaluate the connection promptly. Check all intended devices and the applications you use most, then make a decision well before the relevant deadline. Keep the confirmation of any cancellation or refund request.

Privacy and security claims in context

CyberGhost publishes no-logs and security statements. We have not independently verified its production logging systems or conducted a security audit. Treat the current privacy policy and any cited assessment as documents to examine for scope, rather than accepting an absolute anonymity claim.

The VPN tunnel addresses only part of the connection. The destination can still recognize a signed-in account. A malicious browser extension, compromised device or convincing phishing page creates a different risk that a tunnel does not remove.

Understand the app’s kill switch and DNS behavior for your operating system. Test them with non-sensitive activity. A public IP check confirms only the address visible to that check at that moment; it does not prove every application is protected in every failure state.

1. Confirm the selected billing term and the refund rules attached to it.
2. Install official apps on the devices that will be active together.
3. Test ordinary browsing and a call on your normal home connection.
4. Check a network transition and a laptop sleep-and-wake cycle.
5. Review disconnect protection and any excluded traffic.
6. Test the particular service compatibility you need without assuming a server label guarantees it.
7. Document the settings that work and the problems that remain.

Do not compare speed results taken on different base connections or at widely different times as if only the VPN changed. Keep the device, network and test endpoint consistent and repeat the measurement.
